How can I help someone?

Saving a life, rescuing a child, and reuniting a family are a community effort. Together we can make a difference. If you know someone who needs help, you may speak to a counselor by calling our Screening, Intake & Referral Unit at: (212) 663-1539 or (212) 663-1356.

Volunteer your time, products or services:

Veritas has an active volunteer program and we depend on volunteers to provide many services to our clients. We also accept donations of clean clothing and lightly used shoes, bedding, new toiletries, bulk food, toys and books, sports equipment, formula and disposable diapers, new first aid supplies and medical equipment, tickets to community events, and many other items.

Financial Support:

Financial contributions from the community provide critically important enhancements to our programs, such as job training for clients, expanded social activities for newly graduating clients, staff development and improved nutrition for residents. Whatever your ability to give, Veritas greatly appreciates your commitment to helping your community.

A gift of:

$10 will provide a day’s worth of formula and diapers for a child born drug addicted
$50 will provide three nutritious meals a day to a residential client for a week
$100 will provide the first paycheck for a client ready to rejoin the workplace, through Veritas’ job training stipend program
$1,000 will provide a month of intensive therapy for the client recovering from childhood sexual abuse or family violence.
